Fundraiser: members of Holy Trinity Crafters Guild

Members of Ilkeston’s Holy Trinity Church craft group have knitted more than 20 blankets for children in hospitals and schools in Honduras.

The group has also been collecting pens, paper, toys and baby clothes over the last year-and-a-half.

Jennifer Cox, of the Children of Honduras Trust, is travelling to the Central American country with a container full of the vital supplies in February to distribute them.

Craft-group member Margaret Dawson said: “We are a really good crafts group and thought it would be nice to do something for the charity. They are so under-equipped.”
