Ilkeston builders' pride at Derby statue

A MEMORIAL to Derby County Football Club legends Brian Clough and Peter Taylor - project managed by an Ilkeston company - has been unveiled this week.

At the unveiling of the statue, which depicts Clough and Taylor in 1972 when they led the Rams to the league championship, Hodgkinsons Builders managing director Ian Hodgkinson said: "To be involved in this project is a real honour."

The memorial at Pride Park is a three-metre high bronze statue by renowned sculptor Andy Edwards who has previously produced a bronze of Derby County legend Steve Bloomer at Pride Park.
