MP in town for bookworm day

Broxtowe MP Anna Soubry will be in Kimberley next weekend for a special day to mark the end of the town’s book reading competition.

The Great Kimberley Book Read has been going on throughout the summer and on October 6, there will be a parade of children dressed in book character fancy dress and MP Anna Soubry will handout the winners’ prizes and awards for the town’s best dressed window display.

People can meet the authors who took part in the competition at The Old Baptist Chapel between 10am and 1pm. Kids will be parading from the parish hall to the library at 10.30am and Ms Soubry will present prizes outside the library at 11am.
