MRI Scanner Appeal raffle helps raise more than £810

MORE than £810 has been raised for Chad’s life-changing MRI Scanner Appeal following the latest raffle.

The raffle was held after Annesley logistics firm Promotional Logistics Ltd, who are based at Sherwood Park, donated a variety of unwanted toys for a special raffle.

The company are a third party logistics firm and distribute items for a number of clients around the country and had the items spare after they were no longer required to distribute them.

As part of the fundraiser a range of baby items such as prams, pushchairs, car seats and moses baskets were raffled off.

It is the second raffle event held thanks to items donated by the caring company, with more than £900 raised during the first raffle back in November.

Marvin Walden, facilities, health and safety manager, said: “They were items that our clients no longer wanted us to distribute and asked us to get rid of. Rather than just throwing them away, we thought they would be great for King’s Mill Hospital.

“We regularly donate to charity and we think the MRI appeal is a great cause. We are excited to be doing something to help the hospital.”

Donations to our MRI appeal can be made by visiting Chad receptions, calling the customer services department at King’s Mill Hospital on 01623 672222, by visiting Sherwood Forest Hospital’s NHS Trust website, through Just Giving or by cheque.

All cheques should be made payable to Sherwood Forest Hospitals Charitable Funds.
