MDB090529L1, This week's talking newspaper has been cancelled.

The volunteers who make tapes of the Ilkeston Advertiser for blind townsfolk will not be recording this week’s paper because of the bad weather.

The snow predicted for tomorrow has forced the group, who gather around a microphone every Friday to produce the tapes, to cancel.

The group has apologised and hope to get next week’s paper out as usual.

They have asked that anyone reading this who knows someone who receives the tape to let them know.

The tapes of the ‘Tiser’s stories and births, marriages and deaths are sent out free of charge to blind or partially sighted people.
