Signature reminders

MORE than 6,000 borough residents have received letters from the council this week asking for them to update their signature.

Residents listed as needing postal or proxy votes in Erewash and whose signatures were recorded more than five years ago are required by law to refresh their signatures to limit the number of votes rejected due to mismatched signatures.

Reminders will be sent out on February 21 and those voters who have still not responded by the March 12 deadline will have their postal or proxy vote cancelled.
