Top marks for leisure centre

A Sandiacre leisure centre has won a national award for excellence in customer satisfaction – putting it in the top 10 best performers in England.

The award follows Friesland’s assessment as part of a National Benchmarking Survey (NBS) by Sport England last year, when customers were asked about their experience of using the centre.

Cllr Mike Wallis, lead member for culture and leisure at Erewash Borough Council, which runs the centre, said: “It demonstrates our clear commitment to providing first class customer service for all those who use our quality leisure facilities and activities.”

Results were compared against other leisure centres across the country.

The achievement awards will be presented later this month.
