The woman who fell from the Bennerley Viaduct and ended up hospital with life threatening injuries, has thanked the passers-by who helped her.

Melissa Tomlinson, 27, was found at the foot of the landmark structure on Saturday February 23 by a dog walker, who ran to get help.

Another passer-by then called the emergency services and Melissa was treated at Queen’s Medical Centre for her injuries, described as critical at the time.

“Without them I would be dead,” said Melissa, of Mansfield. “I just want to thank them from the bottom of the heart.”

She asked if they would let the ‘Tiser know who they are so she could thank them personally. Call 0115 944 6181.
