ILKESTON OAP DIES IN ROAD SMASH

THE DEATH of an Ilkeston pensioner in a four-car smash in Trowell has prompted calls for the speed limit to be lowered.

Former Stanton worker Graham Moss, 75, died on Saturday night after an oncoming car lost control on a bend in Nottingham Road and swerved into his Nissan Micra, another car and a tractor, all heading towards Ilkeston.

A passenger, thought to be his wife Patricia, 74, is currently in the Queens Medical Centre in a serious but stable condition, after further operations on Monday.
