Inquest opened into Ilkeston street death

An inquest has been opened into the death of a man who was found underneath a car in Ilkeston.

Paul Mould, 54, of Slade Close, Ilkeston was found underneath a car by emergency services outside his own home at 12.40pm on Friday July 1.

Mr Mould, a fraud investigator who was originally from Mansfield, was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham but sadly died later that the evening.

He was formally identified there by his wife, Jaine Mould, a teacher.

Dr Atwal of the Royal Derby Hospital conducted a post-mortem investigation and is awaiting the outcome of further tests before confirming the caused of death.

The inquest was adjourned until November 3.
