Patients at Ilkeston Community Hospital are having much comfier stays thanks to a kind donation of three state-of-the-art electric beds

The hospital’s League of Friends group donated £10,000 to buy the beds, which enable patients to move position at the touch of a button.

Matron Jenny Harrison said: “The profiling beds are much more comfortable and adaptable for patients and we are very grateful to the League for enabling us to go ahead with these three upgrades to the older beds.”

On Friday League chairman Mike Perry joined group members and hospital staff to see the beds in use.
