FOR the first time ever Eastwood’s DH Lawrence Heritage Centre will open its doors at night for a film festival.

As part of Culture 24’s Museums at Night celebrations the centre will join cities across the world to host a screening of the Future Shorts Festival tonight, Friday May 18.

Starting at 6pm and featuring a number of short films, the screening will offer the audience a chance to vote for their favourite film, with the winning film maker awarded €500.

As part of the event, visitors can book a late night tour at the DH Lawrence Birthplace Museum at 5.30pm and 6.30pm to see the museum lit by real gas lights.

Friday Film Club will run alongside the event, with a screening of Casablanca at 7.30pm.

Food and drink will be available at the bistro from 5pm to 7pm and cakes will be served until 9.30pm.
