Damage

Samuel Males, aged 27, Kingsway, Ilkeston, pleaded guilty to two charges of damaging a wall. He was fined £320. Other costs are: £10 compensation, £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Theft

Mark Chafer, aged 40, of Market Street, Ilkeston, pleaded guilty to stealing a mobile phone and cash. He was committed to prison for 16 weeks suspended for 12 months due to his previous record. He will pay £30 compensation, £80 victim surcharge, £85 to the CPS, £180 criminal courts charge.

Andrew Brown, aged 44, of York Road, Long Eaton, pleaded guilty to stealing vodka from Aldi. He was given a 12 month conditional discharge and must pay £85 to the CPS and a £15 surcharge.

Corey Coxon, aged 22, of Norman Street, Ilkeston, indicated a plea of guilty to stealing sunglasses, CDs and a screwdriver. He was fined £200, must pay a £20 victim surcharge, £85 to the CPS, criminal courts charge of £180.

Harassment

Dominic Rerrie, aged 21, of Winderemere Road, Long Eaton, pleaded guilty to harassment. He sent a number of threatening messages to his victim. He was jailed for 12 weeks. The offence was serious because nasty messages and threats were sent at night. The crime was aggravated by his record and failure to comply with community orders in the past. A restraining order was made. He will pay a £80 surcharge and £150 criminal courts charge.

Daniel Maccarthy, aged 22, of Derby Road, Long Eaton, was jailed for eight weeks for the harassment of a woman. He faced seven charges in total and was already subject to a conditional discharge imposed by the court two days before the offence. He pleaded guilty to the offences and admitted the breach. He will pay a £80 victim surcharge.

Assault

Ben Widdowson, aged 24, of Bosworth Way, Long Eaton, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. He was handed a community order and must carry out 240 hours unpaid work over 12 months. He will pay: £75 compensation; £60 surcharge, £150 criminal courts charge, £85 to the CPS.

Liam Burdett, aged 22, Sudbury Avenue, Sandiacre, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. He was fined £80, and will pay: £100 compensation, £20 surcharge, £85 to the CPS, £150 courts charge.

Speeding

Samantha Barlow, aged 37, of Stanton Road, Sandiacre, pleaded guilty to driving 37mph in a 30mph zone. She was fined £40 and will pay: £20 surcharge, £85 costs. Driving record endorsed with three points.

Driver identity

Steven Osbourne, aged 41, of Kenilworth Drive, Ilkeston, was fined £660 for failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. The charge was proved in absence. He will pay a £66 surcharge and costs of £85.

Ayesha Brock, aged 26, Morton Avenue, Ilkeston. Fined £440, £44 surcharge, £120 costs, £150 courts charge.
