Motoring

Jon Mark Stephens, 41, of Cranmer Street, Long Eaton: pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention. No separate penalty. Driving record endorsed. Pleaded guilty to being the driver of a vehicle owing to the presence of which an accident occurred whereby personal injury was caused to another and damage to a pedal cycle and failed to stop and failed to give details. Fined £275 and must pay a £27 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Driving record endorsed with six points. Pleaded guilty to failing to report the accident to police. No separate penalty.

Christopher Brogden, 28, of Granville Avenue, Long Eaton: pleaded guilty to speeding. Fined £55 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Driving record endorsed with three points.

Stephen Beastall, 39, of Bracken Road, Long Eaton: proved in absence that he failed to give information relating to the identification of a driver who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. Fined £660 and must pay a £66 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Driving record endorsed with six points.

Connor William David Turner, 23, of Baslow Road, Long Eaton: admits failing to comply with the requirements of a community order. No adjudication. Dealt with for the original offence of exceeding the alcohol drink-drive limit. Committed to prison for 12 weeks suspended for 12 months with a 28-day curfew with electronic monitoring, a Thinking Skills Programme and a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement.

Jessica Riley, 35, of Upper Wellington Street, Long Eaton: proved under the single justice procedure that she failed to give information relating to the identification of a driver alleged to have been guilty of an offence. Fined £660 and must pay a £66 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Driving record endorsed with six points.

Linas Dubickas, 28, of Ash Street, Derby: pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle, namely a Ford Ka, on Cotmanhay Road, Ilkeston, while disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence. Must pay a £115 victim surcharge. Disqualified from driving for three years. Pleaded guilty to using a motor vehicle when there was not in force in relation to that such a policy of insurance. No separate penalty. Pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen for breath analysis in the course of an investigation into whether he had committed an offence when suspected of having driven a vehicle. Committed to prison for 26 weeks.

Adam Caine Chaplin, 22, of Shipley Common Lane, Ilkeston: pleaded guilty to pursuing a course of conduct which amounted to harassment in that he sent text messages, phone calls and snapchat messages. Pleaded guilty to assault. Community order to last until June 8, 2017, with a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and 100 hours of unpaid work. Restraining order made on conviction. Must pay £85 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Louis Hazel, 20, of No Fixed Address: indicated a guilty plea to being at an address which he was prohibited from doing by a restraining order. Must pay a £115 victim surcharge, £85 costs. Admits being convicted for an offence while subject to a community order for two counts of assault by beating and one count of criminal damage. No adjudication. Dealt with for the original two offences of assault and one of damaging a garden window. Committed to prison for 16 weeks suspended for 24 months with a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and 80 hours of unpaid work.

Anton Jaroslav Mrvik, 32, of Grasmere Road, Long Eaton: pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Christopher Brian Greatorex, 32, of Derwent Avenue, West Hallam, Ilkeston: found guilty of pursuing a course of conduct that amounted to harassment with emails and phone calls. Community order to last until December 3, 2017, with a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and 50 hours of unpaid work. Restraining order to last until June 13, 2021. Must pay a £60 victim surcharge and £620 costs.

Kenneth Cottrell, 59, of Laurel Crescent, Long Eaton: pleaded guilty to assault. Community order to last until June 13, 2017, with Alcohol Treatment Requirement and eight-week curfew with electronic monitoring. Must pay an £85 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
