Lazytown at Theatre Royal
One of the UK's most successful theatre touring shows of 2008 is back with a brand new, swashbuckling show.
LazyTown Live ! – The Pirate Adventure can be seen at Nottingham's Theatre Royal from August 5-9.
When LazyTown Live! – The Pirate Adventure sails into town, there will be star-jumps, power-moves, laugh out-loud fun, sing-along songs and dancing in the aisles.
Young and old alike will be transported onto the high seas through a high-energy story full of parrots, pieces of eight and buried treasure.
Joining in the fun will be favourite LazyTown friends Stephanie and Sportacus – and of course bad boy Robbie Rotten who, given half the chance, would have Sportacus walking the plank so laziness could rule in LazyTown.
Many of the LazyTown Live! 08 cast are returning to play the same roles with Julian Essex-Spurrier as Sportacus and Kimberley Pena as Stephanie.
Conceived, written and directed by Icelander Magns Scheving (who also
plays Sportacus in the TV show), LazyTown is a lifestyle brand for young children.
With its lessons about making healthy food choices and being physically active, the show aims to provide children with positive role models, while still being a lot of fun. The TV show received a Children's BAFTA nomination in October 2008.
