Information sessions for Derbyshire residents concerned about HS2 – set to pass through the county – are being held this week.

The line is set to pass through Trowell and Long Eaton and along the Erewash Valley as it travels from Toton Sidings up to Leeds.

HS2 staff will be on hand at West Park Leisure Centre in Wilsthorpe Road, Long Eaton on Friday (November 15) from 12pm to 8pm and Saturday (November 16) from 10am to 5pm to answer residents’ concerns.

Information on the route can be found at www.hs2.org.uk and paper copies of all the consultation documents are at 19 libraries, including Ilkeston, Sandiacre and Long Eato, Erewash Citizens Advice Bureau in the former Albion Leisure Centre and Park View Medical Centre in Long Eaton.

Other information events are being held in Killamarsh, Bolsover, Staveley and South Normanton.
