Have your say

Like many others, I have also received a unilateral notice about mining rights for my property in Albert Street, Ilkeston. I am an absent landlord with a concerned long-term tenant.

I am outraged that a notice can suddenly be put on the registry for a property that I’ve owned with a mortgage for 11years.

Perhaps it would be useful if people affected banded together and rather than paying for individual solicitor advice we can mitigate any costs involved if the Duke challenges the UN4 form, which I’m sure he will. How many properties are affected?

Is there an interest in future possible fracking possibilities?

Perhaps we should inform the Duke that this manorial right should be disbanded like many of the other outdated practices that still are in law.

I look forward to a response.

Carole Bishop,

Ilkeston.
