This enormous seven-stone pumpkin was grown by little Kaydn Drew, 4, pictured.
He tended to the mammoth vegetable everyday at dad Adrian’s allotments off Monyash Close, Cotmanhay.
But, unable to shift it back to their Shipley View home, the green-fingered pair want to donate it to a good cause.
“It’s amazing what he’s achieved,” he said
“He’s got such a passion for gardening at such a young age.”
Incredibly Adrian has only had the allotment for nine months.
Many of the other (normal sized) pumpkins his patch has yielded are off to good causes, inlcuding an auction for MacMillan Cancer Support at the Spanish Bar.
If you know a charity, school or good cause, which could benefit from either auctioning off this giant vegetable or from the food it could provide, call the ‘Tiser on 0115 944 6181.
