She might be just three years old, but one patriotic Ilkeston youngster can be seen here paying her respects to Drummer Lee Rigby who was killed in London last month.

Little Meah Andrews visited Ilkeston war memorial in Market Place with her dad Mathew to add her flowers to the many tributes already placed there by Ilkeston folk.

“We’d been watching it all on the news and she kept saying to me she wanted to do something for ‘that poor soldier’,” said Mathew, 28.

One of the suspects, Michael Adebowale, 22, of Greenwich, appeared before Westminster magistrates last Thursday. He spoke only to confirm his name and address.

A second suspect, Michael Adebolajo, 28, remains under arrest at a London hospital where he is being treated.
