A 15-year-old girl was taken to hospital on Valentine’s Day night after she was hit by a car outside Tesco.
The incident happened near to the crossing on Rutland Street just after 6pm on Friday (February 14).
The road was closed for a short time while she was treated.
The girl was taken by ambulance to the Queen’s Medical Centre with a suspected fractured ankle.
Police are hunting the driver who failed to stop after the collision.
