Relatives of an Ilkeston man who died suddenly and tragically raised £1,400 for charity by taking part in the sponsored London Bridges Walk.

Dad-of-two Richard Shaw, from Ilkeston, died last year from sudden adult death at the age of 47, leaving his family devastated.

Pictured in the capital on the day of the walk are Richard’s mum Molly, sister Wendy and dad Vic, who raised money for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) by taking part in the walk in the capital.

Printer Richard, who was said to be a ‘fit young man’ collapsed while chatting with his mum.

He died five days later in hospital.
