Sue Smith is asking for any information about the whereabouts of her tomcat Ginger after he was left injured on the side of Nottingham Road, Trowell, on Monday July 28 at around 4.50pm.

The worried owner was approached by a neighbour who said they witnessed a man in black car stop to pick up the cat and drive off in the direction of Ilkeston Road/Stapleford Road.

Sue has contacted every local vets, RSPCA and the council but Ginger has not been handed in.

She said: “We suspect he’s still alive as I can’t think why anyone would pick up a dead cat.”
