Applications open for Ilkeston’s Carnival Queen

With only three months until celebrations begin, applications have now opened for this year’s Ilkeston Carnival Queen.

Organisers have already starting getting ready for the parades however a Queen is required to the lead the event.

The chosen girl must be aged between 14 and 17-years-old for the carnival which takes place on June 14.

Applications should be made by sending a photograph and covering letter to Suzanne Birch at sa.birch@talktalk.net or by calling 0115 944 7737.

Stalls are already booked for the event, but anyone interested in a stall for charity or trade, or even in having a float in the parade should also contact Suzanne.

The Carnival will parade from Belfield Street in Ilkeston and up Bath Street toward Rutland Ground.
