A Derbyshire construction company has announced it is to move to larger premises in Alfreton and take on more staff after forecasting a big rise in work.

Wildgoose Construction, currently based in Ashover, is expanding thanks to a projected 60 per cent increase in turnover and is set to create ten new jobs, taking the number of staff to 72.

The increase in employees comes as Wildgoose projects a turnover of £40 million by the end of September 2014, compared to £25 million at the same time last year. Tim Walker, managing director, said: “We are currently experiencing a high volume of work on site and our forward order book is very healthy, resulting in us increasing the number of construction teams from four to five.
