Residents, relatives and staff at Victoria Park nursing home in Ilkestoncelebrated recent success with a party.

The home came 17th out of 1, 588 homes in the East Midlands area when residents and family members were asked for their feedback in a recent survey by carehome.co.uk.

The top 20 all received an award so staff at the home decided the only way to mark their achievement was to throw a party.

Cllr Val Clare, attended the party in her last engagement as Mayor of Erewash.

Activities co-ordinator, Elizabeth Rice, said: “Everyone had a fantastic time, the place was packed, there were even people sat on the floor.

“We had a cake and drinks and nibbles and activities, it was a brilliant afternoon.”
