A 43-year-old man has been charged with two counts of begging in a public place.
The incidents allegedly took place on West Bars and at The Shambles in Chesterfield town centre during February.
Sgt. Nick Booth of the Chesterfield Town Centre Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “We are committed to targeting anti-social and nuisance behaviour during the town centre and have been responding to the concerns of businesses and members of the public in those areas.
“We will always take appropriate positive action to ensure our town continues to be a safe and pleasant place to work and visit.”
Gary Newton, of Rutland Road, Chesterfield, is due to appear at North East Derbyshire and Dales Magistrates Court on Friday, April 11.
