A talented dog and her owner will take to our TV screens this week on a new canine skills show.
Shelley Webster and her Rottweiler German Shepherd cross KC are contestants on Channel 4’s new programme Superstar dogs.
The show, presented by John Barrowman, will see dogs and their owners from all over the UK competing in a number of challenges, leading to the final spectacular Dogstacle Course.
Shelley said: “Me and KC have won a few rosettes and shows so when a friend suggested I apply we just went along to see what it was all about.
“When I got the call back after the audition we were thrilled.
“We had KC from Babbington just over four years ago and she was in a really bad way then so this shows how far she has come.”
KC was found tied up to a shed having been abandoned at just five months old.
She was taken to Babbington in Awsworth where staff suspected she had been used as a baiting dog for Staffordshire Bull Terriers.
Shelley, a leisure centre manager, added: “We’ve done all the filming and I’m sworn to secrecy about how it went.”
