A couple who run a farm in Stanley Common have raised thousands of pounds for Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA). Andrew and Karen Wint from Oakfield Farm donated £4,348 to the charity.
They held an event in the village as part of the Open Farm Sunday initiative. The days offered many attractions, activities and culinary delights including the licenced bar from Nutbrook Brewery, as well as cake and craft stalls,
Richard Fletcher from DLRAA said: “I was delighted to be presented with the cheque from Andrew and Karen Wint. DLRAA relies entirely on donations from members of the public as it receives no Government or National Lottery funding. Support from people such as Andrew and Karen really is invaluable and goes a long way to helping to keep our lifesaving service.”
