Date set for Long Eaton rape trial

A date has been set for the trial of a 29-year-old man accused of raping a woman in the grounds of Long Eaton Library.

Jason Sedgwick, of Northcote Street, Long Eaton, will be tried on March 16 next year.

It is alleged he raped a 30-year-old woman outside the library in Tamworth Road between 3am and 4am on Sunday, July 6.

Sedgwick will next appear at Derby Crown Court on October 24 for a plea and case management hearing.
