Hundreds of people joined a social-media campaign to track down a dog that went missing from an Ilkeston home.

Thankfully the ‘Tiser can report that he has now turned up at his home on Oak Apple Crescent of his own accord after sparking a massive appeal on Facebook.

Louis, the eight-month-old Yorkshire terrier, made his way back after three days and was covered in mud.

Relieved owner, Emma Maguire, told the ‘Tiser: ““He was a bit smelly and muddy so we think maybe he had been down the Nutbrook Trail.”

Hundreds of people joined the search after Emma and her partner Josh Gaughan posted Louis’ picture online and offered a reward.
