Pictured is Eleanor Read and David Pearson following their recent charity headshave. The friends, both 20, braved the shave in memory of Eleanor’s brother Alex who lost his battle with the bone cancer osteosarcoma two years ago. The duo raised a massive £2, 428, with money still coming in. The charity event took place at The Mallard pub on Saturday, to mark the anniversary of Alex’s death. All money will go to the Bone Cancer Research Trust.
The charity’s aim is to improve outcomes for people with primary bone cancer through research, awareness, information and support. The pair also wanted to demonstrate a small part of what patients with bone cancer go through.
