A parade of floats, cars and a marching band will be making its way through Ilkeston this weekend as part of the annual carnival.
There will be music, dance and a lot of family fun at the event which takes place on Saturday June 14.
The traditional parade will be leaving Belfield Street at 12.30pm and heading towards the carnival showground at the Rutland Recreation Ground.
The showground will be open from 12 noon and will include stalls and an arena full of entertainment.
Councillor Mike Wallis, Erewash Borough Council’s lead member for culture and leisure said that the carnival is a much loved event.
He added: “We hope local people of all ages will turn out in force to support and enjoy the day - come rain or shine!”
