People living in and around Ilkestonare being urged to volunteer as a St John Ambulance first aider and help be the difference between a life lost and a life saved in their local community and across the county.
The leading first aid charity is calling for people to join as volunteers and learn valuable life saving skills that could be the difference for people around them – for people at public events where they can provide first aid services as well as for friends, work colleagues and loved ones.
A number of opportunities exist for volunteer first aiders to deliver first aid in the community and at public events. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
Carl Makins, District Manager for St John Ambulance in Derbyshire, said: “If you’re 18 or over, energetic and committed to putting the needs of others first, volunteering as a first aider with St John Ambulance might be for you.
