Footballing legends will be taking on teams of community players from across the county in support of Ilkeston-based charity, Awareness for Autism.

The charity, which works in the local community to offer support to families affected by autism, will host the football match to take place at Derby County’s iPro Stadium on May 26.

Places to play on teams sold out quickly but husband and wife founders of the charity, John and Lauri Daly, are hoping the local community will turn out to give their support on the day.

John said: “It will be great to see our favourite legends back on the pitch, we hope that the day will not only be great fun but also help us raise awareness of an often misunderstood condition.”

He added: “The money raised will be used for a variety of projects.”

Tickets are priced at £5 and can be purchased by calling John on 07527 960277 or visiting Facebook page AwarenessforAutism.
