Male golfers dressed as women will tkae to the couse next month to raise cash for Breast Cancer UK.
Mum-of-one Sue Conway, 45, is organising the event, which will be held on Saturday June 14, after being treated for the disease.
She said: “It was a massive shock when I found out but I was treated really quickly, I had a lumpectomy and chemo and things are going well.
“I was asked if I wanted the chemo but being a mum I didn’t even consider not having it.
“I just thought, I’ve got to throw everything I can at this.”
Inspired by her own experiences Sue decided to raise cash for charity.
She said: “I just wanted to give something back and to raise some cash for a charity that helps other women in my position seemed the best way.”
The day will see teams of male golfers dress up as women to play nine holes at Ilkeston Golf club.
Coversure, the Bath Street insurance firm where Sue works, have helped her get the event off the ground and staff from there have already signed up to take part.
Sue said: “Everyone here has been really supportive, we’re looking forward to the big day.”
