From jumping out of a plane to walking down the catwalk, the current Miss Derby from West Hallam has had a busy few months, but the most important date in her calendar comes this weekend.
Hannah-Jayne Talbot, 20, who is a pharmacy assistant, will battle it out with 60 contestants from all over the country in Torquay this weekend.
A whole host of prizes are on offer including automatic entry to the Miss World final as well as a holiday to Mauritius.
Rounds to get through include an extreme boot camp, talent contest and IQ test.
Hannah has also had to make an eco dress from recycled materials and charity shop clothes and will of course compete in the concluding pageant on Monday night.
Her mum, Amanda Talbot, said: “Hannah’s been working really hard she’s organised and attended no end of events all for her charity and at the same time as working.
“This weekend is what it all comes down to though, she’s really looking forward to it and we can’t wait to go to Torquay and enjoy the competition.
“It’s a bit manic this week getting everything ready but I think we’re almost there now.
“It will be a great weekend and another exciting event for Hannah.”
Since being crowned Miss Derby in February Hannah has been busy raising cash for her chosen charity for her year-long reign the Alzheimer’s Society.
