A West Hallam woman has missed out on the Miss England title.
Hannah-Jayne Talbot, 20, attended a glitzy ceremony in Torquay on Monday night where the winner of the glamorous competition was crowned. Hannah was crowned Miss Derby earlier this year and has raised more than £1,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society. Hannah, who works as a pharmacy assistant, had to make an eco dress as part of the competition, which included a public vote.
The competition saw women from 60 regions of the country battle it out for the crown.
The winner’s prize was a holiday to Mauritius. Contestants took part in an extreme boot camp and IQ test. The winner of Miss England was Carina Tyrrell, a student doctor from Cambridge.
