Ilkeston woman calls for answers over Ormiston Trust

I have read in the local press that Ormiston Ilkeston School has not achieved the required standard following a recent Ofsted visit.

Being part of the Benno Action Group, a community group set up to show its opposition again the proposed closure of the Ormiston Enterprise Academy at the Bennerley Street site,
This news came as no surprise. From the start of the process of taking over both of these schools the Ormiston Academies Trust made promises which have not been kept and undertook financial projections, which in my opinion fell short of the required professional standard.
Despite asking for contracts and documents under the Freedom of Information Act and being promised I could have these, nearly three months later I am still waiting.
I therefore have to question the transparency and validity of the original takeover arrangements and the ongoing provision of education in Ilkeston by this organisation. As a tax payer funding education I feel all these documents should be readily available and if they are not I wonder why.
To ensure that the best possible education is provided. I call on all politicians to review this matter carefully.
