Derbyshire Constabulary is opening its doors to volunteers who want to team up with their local officers and make a difference to policing in their community.
From Saturday the force will be recruiting members of the public to take on a variety of activities supporting police.
Activities range from organising warrants and heading out on the beat with officers in crime prevention campaigns.
The aim is to give people chance to get involved with local policing and to help reduce the amount of time officers spend in the police station.
It has already been praised by volunteers and police after a year-long trial in the High Peak.
