Letter: Fuel prices are too high

Petrol Prices.

Petrol Prices.

In 2011 it was stated by HMRC that a 3p cut in fuel duty would create 70,000 jobs and increase GDP by 0.02%.Why doesn’t the Government do something about it when the Treasury has openly admitted that lower fuel costs reduce inflation and help growth?

The average UK driver pays more each year in fuel duty and tax than their tax paid on electricity and gas. This is ridiculous. PLEASE use your influence to encourage something to be done in THIS coming budget.
