Dear concerned resident of Field Avenue,

Your letter mirrors exactly, apart from the phone mast, the concerns the residents of New Lawn Road had over a year ago.

Despite objecting strongly we had no choice against out-of-town planners.

I personally am now faced with what I can only describe as a prison-like wall about 30 yards from my home and am completely overlooked and the sunshine is blocked out.

All of our properties have been devalued and now we have to face 1,000 people due to attend the new Derby College due to open in January.

We have all endured extreme dust in our homes, on our cars and in our lungs. Mud, noise and endless haevy machinery and lorries make our houses shake violently. We have also faced parking issues with our permits made void. Concerned resident of Field Road, we feel sorry for you, it has been like hell on Earth here.

Mrs E. Rise,

New Lawn Road
