Erewash Museum hosts its annual Heritage Day on Saturday January 25 to give residents the chance to find out more about the many local history, heritage and community groups in the borough.
The free event will run between 11am and 3pm and visitors will have the chance to meet representatives of the groups and view displays and information on the work they do in localcommunities.
The Friends of Erewash Museum will provide refreshments and information on how residents can get involved in the work of Erewash Borough Council’s award winning museum.
Cllr Mike Wallis, Erewash Borough Council’s lead member for culture and leisure, said: “There are many local groups in our borough that play such an important role in helping to preserve our heritage and this event is a great opportunity for people to find out more andmaybe be inspired to get involved.”
