Police are inviting people in the Kirk Hallam and Hallam Fields areas to chat to them about local issues at their upcoming surgeries.
The dates for surgeries up to the end of March 2014 have been announced and will be held at venues across the area.
Officers from Kirk Hallam and Hallam Fields Safer Neighbourhood Team will be hosting the surgeries fortnightly.
They give residents the chance to talk about local issues informally, to get crime prevention advice and to find out about the work police are doing in their neighbourhoods.
Pcso Steve Bowlzer, from the team, said: “These events are a great way for people to stay in touch and find out what’s happening on their streets.
“We give people advice, update them on local issues and find out what concerns they have. They’re particularly useful for people who can’t make the forum meetings every three months.
“The times are varied to make them convenient for as many people as possible and we hope to see plenty of residents coming to chat to us.”
The surgeries will be held on:
Wednesday, January 8, from noon to 1pm outside shops in Queen Elizabeth Way, Kirk Hallam;
Monday, January 20, 4pm to 5pm, at Tesco Express, Nottingham Road, Hallam Fields;
Monday, February 3, 11am to noon, at Checkleys, Little Hallam Lane, Hallam Fields;
Monday, February 17, 3pm to 4pm, at the Co-op in Ladywood Road, Kirk Hallam;
Tuesday, March 4, 5pm to 6pm, outside shops in Queen Elizabeth Way, Kirk Hallam;
