Staff and visitors at Shipley Country Park are celebrating after being awarded the prestigious Green Flag award for the eighth year in a row.
The national award, handed out by the environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy, recognises and rewards the best green spaces in the country.
The Derbyshire County Council park stood out after impressing the judges as a welcoming space with well-managed grounds and excellent facilities.
A record-breaking 1,476 parks and green spaces have received a prestigious Green Flag Award this year.
Councillor Andy Botham, deputy cabinet member for economy, jobs and transport said: “I am delighted that Shipley Country Park continues to be recognised as one of the best parks in the country which rewards the hard work of our staff.
“There is lots to see and do in the park and it’s a great place for people to go walking, cycling, horse riding, bird watching, angling, picnicking and much more.
A variety of events are held at the park.
