A very special delivery was made to the Rocking Horse Day Nursery this week to thank children who sent well wishes to Prince George.
A letter from Kensington Palace dropped through the letter box along with cards for each of the children who sent their congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge when the future king was born in July.
The letter, written by Claudia Spens, on behalf of William and Catherine, said: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have asked me to thank you and the Rocking Horse Day Nursery for the wonderful cards which you all so kindly sent on the occasion of the birth of their son, Prince George.
“Their Royal Highnesses have been overwhelmed by all the incredibly thoughtful messages they have received and were immensely touched that you and the children should take the trouble to write as you did.
“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have asked me to send you their warmest thanks.”
Nursery manager, Andrea Bradshaw, said: “We’ve written to the Royal family before and always got standard replies but to get a personal one was lovely.
“The children were beaming, they couldn’t wait to tell everyone when they got their cards.
“It’s nice to think out of the hundreds and thousands of people who must have sent things to them they thanked us.”
