Silver Chief Scout Awards

Ilkeston Cubs Silver Awards

Ilkeston Cubs Silver Awards

The 21st Ilkeston (Kirk Hallam) Cub pack had a special open night and awards evening.

The older cubs ran the evening in order to complete their Silver Chief Scout Awards.

They did sewing on a button as well as making and racing chariots!

At the end of the evening, akela Diane Harris started off by investing four new cubs — Lucy Allcock, Sylvie Humphreys, Katie Lawson & Flo Wakefield.

Many badges were awarded from annual participation awards and nights away to newactivity badges, Backwoods cooking and pioneer.
The Cubs have also earned the Canadian Disability Awareness & International Partnership Award. The pack has been linking with a Cub pack in Canada for some time now.
Next to be presented were fitness, global and the

Promise challenge badges.
Then it was time for Cub of the Week and Cub of the Month.
But the the icing on the cake was the Silver Chief Scout Awards, which went to Daniel Sheath, Abbie Bosworth and Lucy Baker pictured with Diane Harris, who said: “Well done to you all, this is a fantastic achievement. Wear your badges with pride.

“These awards are the top the children can achieve in the Cub section, they are well deserved awards and we are thrilled to be able to award them.

A huge well done to all the Cubs who gained a badge.”

Thanks also went to the group’s team of leaders, without their dedication and hard work these events would not happen.
