The art of juggling, stilt walking and plate spinning were all on the clowning around curriculum at Erewash Museum in Ilkeston.

The centre put on a circus skills workshop to keep kids from across the borough entertained during the school half-term break.

The activity-filled week saw more than 1,000 visitors pass through the doors of Dalby House.

Collections officer Michael Crane told the Advertiser: “It was a really successful week.

“Everyone who came really enjoyed it and we had some great feedback.

“There were crafts and circus skills all
on offer and the activities were really popular.”
