Furry and feathered friends were the main attraction at a spring fair that attracted hundreds to the Erewash Museum event.
More than 500 people headed down to the event in the sunshine and enjoyed holding and stroking the animals from White Post Farm at Farnsfield.
Collections officer Michael Crane said: “We couldn’t have asked for better weather.
“The children seemed to really enjoy seeing the animals and even seemed to be having a great time.
“The visitor numbers speak for themselves. It was another successful event.”
Cllr Mike Wallis, Erewash Borough Council’s lead member for culture and leisure, said: “Spring is just around the corner and this great family event was the perfect day out to celebrate its arrival.
“Children of all ages loved meeting the animals and finding out more about them as well.”
The museum, just off the Ilkeston Market Place, is an award-winning visitor attraction.
