A team of walkers from Stanton Ilkeston Football Club will tackle the gruelling Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge as part of a bid to unlock funding of £450,000.

The group of seven will bid to scale Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen-y-ghent in the Yorkshire Dales in the space of 12 hours on Saturday (July 19).

The event is part of a series of fundraisers by the club, which needs support to raise enough money to unlock a huge windfall of £450,000 from Derby Football Association (FA).
