A tractor has been stolen from a former theme park site in Ilkeston.

The vehicle and an attached post knocker were last seen being driven out of the old American Adventure compound at Pit Lane in Shipley at approximately 5:30pm on Monday March 17.

Police are now appealing for witnesses who may have seen a white man between his 20s and 30s, who is believed to have driven the vehicle out of the park.

The yellow Mercedes tractor was later found burnt out the following morning on Inn Lane, Quarndon, but the post knocker had been removed.

Police have said that it would have taken a considerable amount of effort to remove the 12ft tall red post knocker from the tractor in order to attach it to another vehicle.

Images have been released of the stolen items, and police are now appealing for anyone who may have further information to call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
